Teaching children about
illness is not an easy task. This story will pave the way for a
discussion about what it means to get really sick.
When a new kid comes to
school, at first everyone wants to meet him. But he is different
from other children.
Things start to change at the
school. While it was once a fun and safe place to learn and make
friends, school is now sad and dreary.
Because you see, the new kid
at school is really A Kid Named Cancer. Cancer is an
illness that can strike at any time. And like a bully, cancer
will pick on anyone, even children.
Every day cancer affects
children in schools everywhere. This school decides to fight
back. Is it possible to defeat cancer and make our schools happy
places once again?
