This insightful book of poetry will literally blow you away with its emotion and passion. Straight from the experiences of a soldier who has spent three years of his life in Iraq, Edward Val’s verses are inspired by the horrors of war.

Black Rose; Dying is dramatic and inspirational. Written through the eyes of someone who has experienced war firsthand, Val emotes from his heart, explaining how he felt after surviving battles waged against a hidden enemy. He tells how the inspiration of bravery was able to shine through even in the darkest hours.

The reflections here span the seasons, as one day turns intro another and life goes on. The soldier felt trapped and had to find a release, while the poet sought a light that would lift him from the darkness.

This profound book will take you there and back.
