Annie Nicholas’ Dash
is a clever, savvy novel about a street-smart thief who plans
the ultimate heist, but gets a conscience before the job can go
down.
Jack Dash is a wealthy 40-year-old handsome American thief.
His modus operandi has always been to rob from the rich. With
his mentor and close friend, Pop, an ex-jewel thief, the two
decide to go for one last heist. The plan is to snatch a pair of
rare art prints from Raul Shaeed, a ruthless billionaire
industrialist who plans to give the prints to his beautiful
bride-to-be, Billie Dean.
Jack quickly befriends Billie, an English aristocrat and perfume
tycoon, in order to make the tricky heist an easier job. What he
didn’t expect was his heart ruling his head and at the very last
moment, seconds away from making millions, he decides he can’t
possibly manipulate or put Billie at risk. To Pop’s mounting
fears, Jack calls the whole thing off.
Suddenly Jack and Pop are thrown into an extremely perilous
situation when the prints are discovered missing and people
wanting them either dead, behind bars, or both. A cat and mouse
game ensues, between two continents as Billie has her own set of
problems and everyone is quickly running out of time to find a
solution to this multimillion-dollar dilemma.
Who is responsible for the theft and why? Will Jack survive what
would have been the biggest heist of his life and will Billie
prove to have been worth the effort? The most overwhelming
question is: Just who is using who?
Nicholas has written a fast-paced, immensely entertaining read
that keeps the reader guessing throughout a razor-sharp plot.
Packed with brilliant characters and crackling dialogue, this is
suspense storytelling at its best.
