Deep within the Shadows of My Mind is a collection of 25 short stories that take everyday people, good and evil, and throw them into an alternative dimension of their lives. From unrequited love to revenge, and into the darkest corners of someone’s mind, these stories may be strangely similar to those you read about in the newspapers and watch on CNN, but with a different and unexpected perspective.  

When author Steven Filippini was only six years old, his father sat with him through his first viewing of the 1953 version of “The War of the Worlds” and Steven was never the same. Someday he hopes to scare the hell out of an impressionable young mind through his writing as well. If anything, these short stories will do the job!

Steven J. Filippini resides in Eagan, Minnesota where he works in the alarm industry. He is a regional technical manager who conducts training classes and provides technical support for fire and intrusion products and services. He plays the drums and continues to write whenever his Muse grows restless. His other books include Chameleon Eyes and Fix it or Pull it.
