Four girls who help a
schoolmate adjust to a new life find themselves learning much
more than they expected in Keza Ruzima’s latest teenage novel.
Based upon her own life experiences, Keza creates a uniquely
inspiring story that focuses on friendship, the spirit of giving
and the ability to make a difference.
Danielle, Vanessa, Madison
and Alexandra have been neighbors and best friends since their
first year of school. Their lives -- as well as their perception
of the world – are changed when they meet Abby, a new girl in
school from another country.
As they begin learning about
children around the world who don’t have bicycles, community
parks or even enough food to eat, the girls decide to come up
with a plan to help these kids. But what can a group of girls
from a small town do? Would they be able to handle such a big
responsibility?
A wonderfully inspiring story
filled with hope and fueled by possibilities, Girl Power: The
Adventures of a Teenage Circle shows both teens and adults
that you really can make a difference!
