What’s the biggest challenge facing a self-absorbed, party-hearty rock superstar? If you are thinking alcoholism, drug addiction, arrests, divorce, or financial ruin, think again. The greatest struggle of all is the one a rocker fortunate enough to survive those gauntlets must eventually meet: the troublesome trials and tribulations of aging publicly and the selflessness it takes to become a grandfather for the first time.

In Grand Pop, author Rand Bishop tickles your funny bone and touches your heart with this spot-on account of growing older in a youth-obsessed culture. As vain, egocentric Keefe Taylor turns the heavy-metal calendar page of 50, he stumbles unwarily onto a road of personal redemption. Will Keefe finally recognize that life’s most precious gifts—love, friendship, and family—have been absent from his life? And once he figures that out, will he have the courage and persistence to go after them . . . and hang on to them? Grand Pop is a darkly humorous, yet enriching and engrossing mock-memoir about one man’s evolution from living in arrested adolescence to becoming a healthy, loving, and stable father and grandfather. Don’t miss this opportunity to grow up with Keefe Taylor. He has powerful and poignant lessons to teach us and a belly full of laughter to share.
