Meet the Author

Wendy Peek grew up in Fulbright, Texas, with a passion for writing, and subsequently became a writer and educator. As a writer, Peek shares her stories with her first graders, and says that she finds inspiration in the children she teaches every day. As an elementary school intervention teacher, she has a desire to improve the educational system. “It is always wonderful,” she says, “when you can tie lessons to children’s literature. Though there are lots of math books to choose from, I decided to write a book that would help begin to fill the other vital needs of teachers and parents.”

Gretta Lou, the bulldog, loves to smell the flowers and take walks around the neighborhood. But most of all, Gretta Lou loves a good mystery. On this sunny summer day, Gretta Lou discovers a lone collar without an owner. When it turns out to be too large for one dog and too small for another, Gretta Lou and her canine friends join forces to solve a rather “sizeable” mystery!

In the continental US and Canada please allow approximately 2 weeks for your order to arrive – Alaska and Hawaii may take an additional week. Orders for the UK and Europe please allow 2 to 3 weeks for your order to arrive. All other international orders may take up to 10 weeks for delivery. Note it is possible for the order to arrive earlier or later than the time frames given depending on the order destination.
