I Won’t Be Wearing A Bikini, But I’m Going To Keep On Swimming is a personal account of author Lorraine Limero’s life changing battle with colon cancer. 

Lorraine experienced the euphoric highs and agonizing lows on her roller-coaster ride of doctor visits and treatment protocols. “This is a story of survival, I am surprised by the number of people who would rather die of this disease than to have a colostomy; I felt the urgency to tell my story to let others know that a good outcome is possible with early detection.”  

Physically and emotionally ravaged by the intense treatments, she was fortunate enough to be surrounded by loving friends and family, as well as a talented compassionate team of professionals. With a renewed sense of courage and newfound spirituality, she is able to make it to the ranks as a survivor of colon cancer. 

This is a poignant and sometimes humorous account of Lorraine’s battle. Her inspiring story is one of laughter, tears and, above all-- triumph!

Lorraine Balch Limero works in private practice as a marriage and family therapist in Galveston, Texas and is currently working on her next book. Lorraine lives with her husband, Tom, in Houston.
