Mischief on Mumpet Mountain
Patricia Senior

They came from a planet that was like Earth, except life on their planet was dying and they did not have enough resources to keep future generations alive. Mischief On Mumpit Mountain, by Patricia Senior, is a delightful children’s story that takes place on a mythical mountain where Mumpits and animals live in peaceful coexistence in the absence of humans.

Melly Mumpit is a taxi driver and operates the bicycle and skateboard shop on Mumpit Mountain. Melly is still young and likes to hurdle down the mountain on his bike with his best friend, Melvin.

Milly and Maurice are twins who live on the edge of the forest with their parents and grandmother. When they get lost on Mumpit Mountain, they come face to face with Leo the lion, who takes them on an enchanted journey through the forest before taking them safely home.

When fire breaks out in the forest, Milly and Maurice raise the alarm, hoping they are not too late to save Leo and his family from the flames.

Travel up to Mumpit Mountain and share this harmonious message of friendship and love with the little people in your life.
