Meet the Author



Andrea Mells has been an educator in the Chicago and Metro Atlanta areas for the past 16 years and has devoted much of her life to helping young people. As she found herself dealing with difficult situations in her own life, she was motivated to write My Liberty. Andrea is currently an administrator at a South Suburban Chicago school and is also working on her next novel.

After fifteen years of marriage to an unfaithful and abusive man, Mrs. Liberty struggles to free herself.  To make the journey to independence, she must overcome her self-imposed image as the perfect wife as well leave the domineering tyrant she both loves and hates.

However, a violent turn of events stops her plan to escape, and the woman who has been a victim for so long becomes the accused.  Facing the toughest battle of her life, Mrs. Liberty will have to hold on to her faith and reclaim her lost identity to obtain true liberty.
