Imagine changing colors with every mood! For little Ned, this is
a way of life that earns him the nickname” Neon Ned” from the
neighborhood kids.
In all
ways, except one, Ned is like other kids. He loves to run, play
and has dreams. He gets sad, sometimes mad, and even sick, but
the problem is that poor Ned changes colors according to how he
feels. When he’s sad, he turns blue; when he feels sick he
turns a bright shade of green; and
on and on
his colors change and shine, bringing unwanted
attention to himself. He’s nicknamed “Neon Ned “by the children
in the neighborhood, but Ned wishes he could fit in with the
rest of the kids.
Neon Ned
is a creative story that will have kids thinking about how they
judge and label others. As they get to know Ned and his
“multicolored” personality, they will want to know how he
resolves his dilemma with the other children. Will he finally be
able to make friends or will he possibly change something about
himself?
