After suffering a bipolar
nervous breakdown in 2005, Kevin Munro began to write poetry to
help with his recovery.
Netted Rainbows: A
Collection of Poetry 2005-2009
shows the progression of his illness and how he began to heal.
His inspirational poetry will also help others to look inside
themselves to find their own solutions.
Munro worked 20 years
teaching special education for an Australian State Government
Schools Teaching Service. He is truly encouraged by former
students, saying, “I have kept in the back of my mind the
students that I have seen rise above situations much worse than
mine.”
He uses this “diary” to show
the pain he suffered from his bipolar disorder, and how he was
able to overcome the mania and depression to once again become
whole.
He challenges readers to
identify the different stages of his illness by reading his
words, and in doing so, believes they could come away with the
knowledge to become a “lay” professional.
