This
cookbook sets out to make cooking easy whether you are just
beginning to cook or just find yourself short on time.
In today’s
world of fast food and packaged meals, modern families lack the
skills to prepare home-cooked meals. However, homemade food is
not only healthier and less expensive, it brings back valuable
family time that is often missed at the drive-through window.
Out to
change all that, Pa Pa Tuck’s Cook Book is more than just
a book of recipes. It is a step-by-step guide for first-time
cooks that teaches them how to prepare such classic family
feasts as baked smoked ham, Christmas pasta, homemade bread,
Great Gram’s corn chowder, and much more. It goes beyond just
simply following directions in a recipe, but teaches you how to
prepare food.
For author Peter Tucker, the
process of cooking is as important as the product. Meals are a
family affair meant to create memories and a strong family bond.
If
you are looking to bring your family to the dinner table again,
this book will inspire you to create a new family tradition of
cooking that will be shared for generations.
About the Author
Peter Tucker grew up in
upstate New York and currently lives on Martha’s Vineyard. His
inspiration comes from his 101-year-old Great Gram, who used to
say, “The way to a man’s heart is through his stomach.” The
meals in Pa Pa Tuck’s Cook Book have been passed down
through his family for six generations and Tucker hopes to share
his recipes with generations to come. He plans to create a TV
cooking show based on his family’s recipes.
