Meet the Author



Judy B. Fane has lived through several hurricanes. She has already started writing her next children’s book about surviving a tornado. Fane lives in Houston, Texas, where she teaches sociology at Lonestar College. She has been a writer since she was 8 years old.

Pauline Pelican and her two children must prepare their home and then evacuate before the largest hurricane in 100 years hits the coast where they live, in this exciting children’s adventure.

Paddy, a fun-loving young pelican who likes nothing more than to surf and fish with his friends, now must help his mother and sister survive the upcoming storm.

The author was motivated to write the book after experiencing Hurricane Ike and its aftermath. Paddy the Pelican Survives the Storm teaches survival techniques that are important for everyone, including pelicans and little boys and girls.

Orders for the UK and Europe please allow 2 to 3 weeks for your order to arrive. All other international orders may take up to 10 weeks for delivery.
