Stormy Hill
By Nancy Clarke

An extraordinary horse may hold the key to restoring the happiness and wealth of a family fallen on difficult times.

When fourteen-year-old Ann Collins’s grandfather died, he left her once-prominent family near bankruptcy. Now, the fully staffed horse farm in the Bluegrass Region of Kentucky, has shrunk to only the Collins family, their trainer, and the trainer’s son. Ann desperately wants to help her father return the family to its acclaimed position in the racing world and when Lightning, a well-bred black colt, is born, she knows that her chance has come.

Ann is a great rider, but it will take more than just skill for her to make her dreams a reality. Even if no one else believes in Lightning, she knows that he will be the one to change it all. Little does she know, she and Lightning will be put to the test much sooner than expected!

Wonderfully crafted with characters both relatable and lovable, this first installment in a series is sure to touch the hearts of all its readers.
