Meet the Author

Author Wendy E. Lund grew up in the Puget Sound area of Washington State near the capital city of Olympia. Lund likes to write, sing, garden, sew, quilt and travel, as well as camp out with her husband when time permits. Lund and her husband make their home in the same beautiful Puget Sound area where she spent her childhood. She is currently putting the finishing touches on her next book.

Chosen from the toy shop for a little girl’s birthday, Bitsy Balloon begins a new adventure that takes her out of the shop, through the park and up, up---and away! Suddenly on her own, Bitsy discovers a whole new world as she encounters buzzing bees, flying birds and little fish in a stream. But her floating journey takes her farther and farther away, and Bitsy soon realizes she must somehow make her way back to the little girl. Bitsy is finally found and returned to the little girl, but has wonderful memories of her adventure in the park as a Fly Away Balloon.

This book is print-on-demand – the books are printed when they are ordered. Please allow for both PRINTING and SHIPPING time when ordering. In the continental US and Canada please allow approximately 2 weeks for your order to arrive – Alaska and Hawaii may take an additional week. Orders for the UK and Europe please allow 2 to 3 weeks for your order to arrive. All other international orders may take up to 10 weeks for delivery. Note it is possible for the order to arrive earlier or later than the time frames given depending on the order destination.
