Meet the Author

Mary Hubbell is an elementary school music teacher in Gainesville, Virginia, who has moved many times in her life. She formerly lived in Wilton, Connecticut, where the book is set, and is working on a sequel.

 

 

 

 

 

This fascinating time travel adventure introduces 14-year-old Makayla Gaines, who is moving with her family to live in an old mansion in Wilton, Connecticut. Makayla is sad to leave her old home, but while exploring her new surroundings, discovers the ruins of an old farmhouse.

In a secret hiding place beneath a rock in the fireplace, Makayla finds a very old ring. When she tries it on, she travels back in time to meet the ring’s original owner, a girl named Annie. Makayla realizes she must help Annie escape her abusive father, and must also avoid the storm that will cause Annie’s death. The Miracle of Annie’s Ring touches on adventure, mystery and magic. It also poses the question: Can you change history?
