Under the guise of a nocturnal vigilante known as the Purple Widow, the prince takes on the grave task of protecting his people with an iron fist. Unbeknownst to him, however, his betrothed princess’s heart lies elsewhere, and the prince’s world is turned upside-down.  

As the prince battles for her heart, another threat slowly brews: the Indestructible Nyx, the ruling Queen of a terrible species, has been planning the prophesized domination of Coccinus, and will stop at nothing to claim her victory. Knowing the evil queen must be stopped, Prince James must choose between exacting revenge on his betrayers or saving his vulnerable kingdom. Will his thirst for vengeance be the doom of his people, once and for all?

Author Holly Hoyt wrote The Purple Widow at the age of thirteen. She is currently a home-schooled student in Morristown, New Jersey, and has been writing all her life. She created the novel’s fantastical world with her brother, Jeffrey, and the two plan to add many more volumes to the Omen Island Chain series.
